Guide to A/B Testing before product launch
1. Set up an google optimize account
- This will create your first container so you can begin utilize Google Optimize.
We’ll create our first experience later
2. Set up an google analytics account with the same email provided in step 1.
- Simply create account name and give it a name such as optimized analytics account.
- Choose your account data sharing
- So if you want to provide information for products and services, benchmarking and give access to account specialist for technical and sales support, that will be Google specialists then click next.
- Then create your first Google Analytics property.You can call it optimized site.
For example, choose your reporting time zone in currency and an click next.
- You can give some information about your business, and how do you intend to use Google analytics for example, optimizing and measuring customer engagement and then click create.
- Make sure that you then accept the right privacy policies on data policies and then click. I accept.
- This will create your account with all information needed for Google.
- a data stream that can be Web and also cross with IOS and Android Mobile APS. The name of the stream should be similar to your title in html.
3. Install the following extensions for Optimize and analytics.

4. Copy the global site tag and add it to your website head tag.
5. Check reports realtime to view whether Analytics is connected.

6. Create our first A B test experience
- Log into optimize
- Click on start
- Create an experince with the A/B testing option
- Simply click.Add Variant will give you the name, say, variant one or variant A and click Done.

- Edit your second variant.


- Link analytics account
- Add optimize tag to websie head tag.

- Set up objectives for example clicking on bounce would analyze how many people visited the site
without navigating to another page would help choose which variant is better for users.
- Start.
